International students develop scenarios for the timber economy

Bolivia, Brasil, Canada, Columbia, Italy, Germany, Egypt, Iran, Mongolia, India und Niger: the home countries of this year's international students of the course "strategic management" from the University of Applied Science in Lemg are radiating diversity.


For the seventh time the future experts of the ScMI AG accompanied international students of the University of Applied Science Ostwestfalen-Lippe in the development and preparation of future scenarios.

This year's project, called "Future Timber Economy", dealt with the future of the timber industry. The Master's students worked on possible futures for the timber industry, with a particular focus on the influence of digitization. Seven future visions were developed in several steps. The various future concepts illustrate the breadth of future development opportunities.


In the final presentation exciting stories were presented, from a talk show from the year 2030, a time travel of a furniture manufacturer up to a meeting with furtune tellers their work was presented with a lot of creativity.
