New markets as well as new products and technologies result in new business options. In complex and fast changing surroundings, market and product innovations often occur at the same time. Then, complete new business potentialities arise, which could be thougt ahead systematically with the scenario management:
- The current business structure will be completed with new market segments and new market activities. The result is an expanded business structure. With this structure particularly market-expanding and spectrum-expanding business segments could be identified and evaluated.
- Scenario-sustained market segments and market performances (product scenarios) were compared with each other in a future business structure. Then the idenfication of real new business possibilities is feasible.
- The scenario-supported business models offers the opportunity to thought ahead, in which way (new) market potentialities could be constructed and (new) markets could be putted at disposal. In combination with the business structures, complex business systems could be thought ahead.
