1957 to 2027 "Review and Perspectives" -This was the title of ScMI Executive Board member Dr. Andreas Siebes’ Dinner-Speech at the Institute for Product Development (IPEK) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The occasion for this special speech was the 60th birthday of University Professor Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Albert Albers. He has been a full professor since 1996 and is now the spokesman of the institutes’ management.

This year marked the tenth anniversary of the founder initiative WECONOMY. Nine finalists were able to convince the expert jury, which since many years also includes ScMI Board member Dr. Andreas Siebe, of their business ideas: "Everyone agrees that this years’ participants were outstanding."

Scenarios as maps of the future – in one way or another scenarios can be better understood if many different futures are mapped together. Consequently, ScMI provided a “map room” during their icebreaker-session at the 2016 DTIM-Conference in order to introduce the Scenario-Management approach.
