Roadmapping workshop

Identify strategic target positions

On the strategic level a company decides about its vision. A vision contains basic and normative targets (e.g. mission statement) as well as an important strategic target position (e.g. positions and core competencies).

On the tactic level the vision is implemented in a business model and precise roadmaps. Targets are substantiated, strategy, product or technology roadmaps are created and the competition behaviour is simulated.

On the roadmap workshop ideas and projects have to be identified at first. Future instruments (trends, scenarios) and moderation practices support the workshop. Subsequently ideas and projects are evaluated to concretise favoured activities and the roadmap.

Where roadmapping workshops can be included:

  • In strategy projects and implementation processes to evaluate and connect strategic arrangements and intentions future orientated.
  • Within innovation management to evaluate and connect ideas future orientated.
  • If changing incentives shall be initiated with group dynamics.
