Being able to recognize future chances and their advantages is the key factor in today´s competitive world. Since it has been published in 2006, the future-management handbook provides the reader with an overview of the most important tools for successfully handling the future.
Specifically, this book describes each tool for strategic planning and early warning in detail. The foundation provides a model of future management which categorizes each tool according to six groups: scenarios, visions, trends, roadmaps, prognoses and planning. In the book, the authors - Dr. Alexander Fink and Dr. Andreas Siebe – explain their utilization and in addition, illustrate them with practical examples.
Since last week, an updated edition has been published together with the Campus-Verlag. Not only does the new edition contain updates of each of the 29 chapters dealing with topics like scenario techniques or crisis management but also new topics and methods have been included such as participative scenario development, new business development, trend radar or product planning. Moreover, also new examples out of the automobile and air traffic industry, the banking sector or the media industry complement the 2nd edition.
