There are several reasons for the massive change of the health care sector. Among others are the demographic change and the aging of the societies, the advance in medicine, bio and gene technology, the public budget situation as well as the diverse consequences of the efficiency increase of our economy for people, companies and players in the health sector. But what will the health care sector of the future look like? Several uncertainties characterise the answers to this question: Which innovations will shape the health market? What will the regulatory standards look like? How will the roles of the players within the value-chains develop? Which processes will be influenced by global competition in the next years?
