The future of nutrition
Food intake is considered by many people to be a basic necessity in the human lives. Eating seems to be natural like sleeping or breathing. But eating requires a very precise planning since food has to be catered and possibly prepared as well. Moreover meals are considered by many cultures to be a reason for sociability and an important part of the social society. ScMI has used its method Szenario-Management ™ in order to design the possible development perspectives for the food intake in Germany. Based on the analysis of 98 influence factors and the subsequent interconnection analysis, 20 key factors which characterise the development of the industry have been extracted. The combination of 82 alternative future projections provided six consistent scenarios:

  • Scenario I: Eat fast and simply - Services foster swift and enjoyable nutrition
  • Scenario II: Let the food entertain us - Innovation brings more convenience and entertainment during the meals
  • Scenario III: Techno-food forever - Technologies combine health with convenience
  • Scenario IV: Only top quality food - Only the best quality complies with the nutrition requirements
  • Scenario V: Food as good as possible - Affordable quality should satisfy the high nutritional requirements
  • Scenario IV: Fast food all day long - Food should be fast, easy and cheap

The scenario report can be ordered by the ScMI AG for a nominal charge of 29,- Euro. It will be delivered in german.
