Building and maintaining future and scenario competence

Scenario trainings strengthen the future and strategy competence of your company or your organization and at the same time serve as a preliminary step to scenario projects or as tools of extensive management developing programs.

Based on various consulting experiences in different industries, markets and technology areas, ScMI offers the following three training formats: 

One-Day Intensive Workshop
The One-Day Intensive Workshop offers a first look at the methodology of scenario design and the application of scenarios to different fields and topics. Using an application example it is shown how scenarios can be created. The working out will be done with a given exemplary topic by ScMI (Future of the tourism).
Two-Day Scenario Training
The Two-Day Scenario Training offers an intensive insight in the methodology of scenario design and in the work with scenarios. In addition, own scenarios are developed during the seminar. For this purpose, a pool with possible seminar subjects is available for the participants.
Three-Day Scenario Training
The Three-Day Scenario Training is the premium offer of the ScMI; it provides the most intensive and extensive insight in the methodology and the use of scenarios. The development of own, firm-specific scenarios is in the main focus. Requirements and the conception of the seminar are individually determined regarding the topic and number of participants.

Additional modules for future management, strategy and innovation

These basic modules of Scenario-Management are complemented by additional modules for future management, strategy development and strategic product planning:

Additional Module „Future Management“
In the additional module “Future Management”, the most relevant instruments for dealing with future developments and strategies are presented. Apart from trends and prognoses, we also take visions, road maps and planning into account. Moreover, the interrelations of the different tools, their fields of application as well as their linkage with the Scenario Management are lit up.
Additional Module „Strategy Development“
The additional module ‘strategy development’ contains the holistic strategy process from the weakness-strengths-analysis to strategy formulation and initiation of implementation processes. Different focusses can be chosen: At the strategic analysis, the main instruments for a characterization of the initial situation as well as business structure analysis, different portfolio analysis, competitor analysis or success factor analysis are presented. This additional module can also contain the development of strategy scenarios or strategy options.
Additional Module „Strategic Product- and Technology Management“
The additional module “Strategic Product- and Technology Management” gives an overview on the approaches and methods of innovation management as well as information about “New Business Development” with the main focus on the development of new market offers (Strategic Product Planning) as well as the dealing with new technologies (Technology Management).

All trainings are further illustrated by giving examples of practical experiences of ScMI. The participants are enabled to either planning the use of instruments independently or – at easier formats- to implement instruments autonomously.
